Soil Type

Well drained, neutral or slightly alkaline soil

Bulbs are to be planted 8cm deep and about 10-12cm apart, in well drained soil. It is often best to try to position then with plenty of access to sun. For best results, plant in September through to November. Take some care to prevent slugs and snails from attacking the iris once planted. Most Iris can naturalise well if left undisturbed or alternatively bulbs can be lifted and separated in Autumn. After flowering feed with a high potash fertiliser to
encourage large bulbs to form.
