Erysimum Constant Cheer

Erysimum Constant Cheer

Erysimum generally manage to flower almost all year long, apart from in the depths of winter, which is making it an increasingly popular shrub. As the name 'Constant Cheer' suggests, this exquisite hardy perennial produces long lasting prolific orange red flowers that mature to purple. This creates an amazing multi coloured flowering feature plant that is highly attractive to bees, butterflies and other insects. Height 60cm. UK grown 5cm diameter jumbo plug plants supplied.

  • Deadhead as required to encourage further growth spurts.
Planting

Plant on arrival in freshly prepared soil or compost.

Soil Type

Fertile, well drained or a balanced compost.

Unpack immediately upon arrival and give them a little water if needed. If potting up into containers, use a balanced compost (that is not too peaty) as it is inclined to produce a hard crust if allowed to dry. We recommend a John Innes Compost No 2.
Water freely during the growing season and make sure to dead-head regularly to prolong flowering.
