Soil Type

Well drained, neutral or slightly alkaline soil

No pruning is required of this flower - simply allow them to die back after flowering in the spring and cut the foliage down to the ground. This allows the bulb to soak up all the nutrients from the sun. Plant the bulbs at twice their depth and about 5-10cm apart. Can be planted from May to October for them to flower in early spring.
Iris Reticulata is the earliest Iris to flower in the new year. Appearing from March, these flowers thrive in well-drained, neutral soil.
