Soil Type

Moderately fertile, well drained.

Plant at least 5cm deep and 5cm apart in the Autumn and watch as they will appear as early as February. If left undisturbed they will naturalise very effectively.
Snowdrops will prosper in most types of well drained soil, and do well in woodlands, among grass, in beds and borders, and can be grown successfully in pots in a cold room or greenhouse.
