Upon arrival plant out straight away in fertile, well drained and moist soil. You can plant them at 35-45cm apart, in either full sun or in partial shade. If potting up, use John Innes Compost.
They can be grown in groups to help create a very effective cluster of spring flowering plants. Once planted they should not be disturbed. Although Helleborus are evergreen they often loose their foliage in the first year.
